Our Story
How We Met
We met at the end of 2017 while we were both a part of UCSD’s The Vagina Monologues and TheirStories. Our first date was in January of 2018, watching the sunset and getting In-n-Out (as true Californians would). As they say, the rest is history!
Our First Trip
In the winter of 2018, we took our first trip together to the Big Apple. We have many fond memories of going to every Christmas market in the city.
Graduation
In 2019, we both graduated from UCSD!
Our First Apartment
Shortly after we graduated from college, we got our first apartment together in Mira Mesa.
Shiva!
Towards the end of 2019, we “just went to look” at the kitties in the shelter, and ending up bringing home Shiva. She is our pride and joy, and has turned many a cat skeptic into cat people (including Sriya).
Massachusetts Here We Come
After three years of our San Diego apartment, we moved to Worcester, Massachusetts in 2022 because Sriya got into medical school! In 2024, we moved to western MA to continue Sriya’s studies.
Engaged!
In December of 2024, almost 7 years later at the same spot we had our first date, we got engaged! After this moment we got pho for dinner, which of course was perfect.
We've been together for 8 years, and we've been so lucky to have experienced as much joy and love as we have. We've been able to travel and live many different places together and enjoy many beautiful moments with our friends and families. You all are also a part of our story, and we deeply love and appreciate every one of you.
